Late and Absence Policy Reminders

For every day late, it is 10 percentage points off the achieved grade on the assignment.(weekends not included)

- For every day with  an excused absence, it is two make-up days. (ex. If a student is gone on Monday and returns to school Tuesday, the students make-up work will be due on Thursday of the same week.)

  • Tuesday 10/11: Quiz over Lesson 1-3 vocabulary, comparing and contrasting Prokaryotic vs Eukaryotic cells, plant vs animal cells and Parts and functions of the cell membrane; review lesson 4- cellular transport notes from power-point after quiz

  • Wednesday 10/12: Review of Lessons 1-4- We will not be covering any new informtation 

  • Thursday 10/13: Finish Lesson 4 and Chapter 7 Review for Test

Week 12: November 7-11th

  • Chapter 3: Plants in EOC Booklet

  • Student lead teaching groups: Each group of 3-4 students will be assigned a section from Ch. 3 Plants and design a concept map/poster and activity to go along with their section and then present to the class as the 'teacher.' This will carry-over to the following week due to missed class on Monday and Thursday due to DE benchmark testing and No School on Friday. Students will present on Tuesday, Nov. 15th 

Week 13: November 14-18th

  • Monday- 11/14: Work day on Project

  • Tuesday- 11/15: Projects due and begin presenting

  • Wednesday-11/16: Finish presenting and complete remaining student activities from each group

  • Thursday- 11/17: Review of Ch. 3 Plants Game and Q/A

  • Update: Ch. 3 Test will be Monday, Nov. 21st although any students not planning to be at school that day it is highly recommended to take the test Friday- 11/18.
